The journey

I seek, but know not what I need;
I walk, but cannot find the way—
The burden heavy, the outlook dim.
         One day appeared a fellow traveler.
         “The path is straight ahead,” she said.
         “The light is bright, the scene sublime.”
She held two books1 that showed the way.
She offered them—a glorious day!
         Intelligence directed me.
         Love protected me.
         Mind unfolded Truth’s clear way.
Each step now brought a better view.
I saw life’s challenges anew.
Equipped with guidance from above,
I now am filled up full with love.
