A healing of PTSD
Whenever I am going to be on the road, I start each trip by praying, and I usually listen to hymns from the Christian Science Hymnal along the way. One of my favorites begins, “O gentle presence, peace and joy and power; / O Life divine, that owns each waiting hour” (Mary Baker Eddy, Poems, p. 4).
Who could ask for a better travel companion than divine Life—God?
My commute to work takes me along the California freeways. The speed limit is sixty miles per hour, but there are points along my route where congestion is common. I know these well, so I know when to slow down.
