Stranded, or always in God's presence?

Originally appeared on spirituality.com

We were far from home, in the middle of nowhere, caught in a snowstorm. Stranded. The trip to Montana from Colorado had been great—sunshine the whole way. The trip home, however, was turning out a little different.

We had been on the road a couple of hours when the snow, which had been light and fluttering, started to pick up. It looked like the drive would be slow. We figured we’d be late, but we’d get home sometime that night.

But a little further along the interstate, everything came to a complete stop. A truck was blocking the road ahead. During the two hours we waited for the vehicle to be cleared off the highway, the storm turned into a blizzard, and the highway looked like polished glass.
