The sunset's golden light paints the face of the woman I am going to marry. She’s asleep in the passenger seat. We’re headed to visit my family for the weekend.
In this moment, driving into the sunset with the girl, the car and everything my heart desires, I feel like the dashing lead in a romantic movie. I think about how much my life has changed.
Not too long ago, I was the single man—and my friends had never known me to be otherwise. I was not pining away for marriage, and I didn't believe I needed someone else to make my life complete. But like many people, I yearned for a deeper, more fulfilling life.
