SAUL ENTERS DAMASCUS

Struck blind by all those falling doubts, I singWords without sound set in a songOf inward harmony—Damascus comes,Into the narrow streets of which I grope,Feeling the stones; a chosen vessel nowAwaiting that renewal of the light

THE STILL SMALL VOICE

A silent angel messageComes to the waiting heart;A tender ever-presenceThat bids all doubt depart.

TESTIMONY

No one would call it a very big secretexcept who kept it for a while, now and then surreptitiously peeking, sure it was still in proper file.

LET ME BE MINDFUL

Let me be mindful of God's splendor, not only in those quiet half hoursplucked from the day between waking and rising, from the silent room on peaceful evenings, with books outspread.

LOVE CALLS

Above the call of human power, mortal pleasures, and famecame the call to walk with Love;over and over it came, higher, clearer, until it drownedall other cries for me.

CONTINUING DRAMA

Death spares us not a challenge, gains releaseFrom no reluctant duty, stern indenture; There's neither flight nor conquest in decease; To die is not "an awfully big adventure.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, help me to love Truth most, placing it above all else,a staff on which to lean,a lighted torch held high, not egocentric;praying alwaysto share this Truth with others.

TELL IT NOW!

Ah, Malchus, servant of the high priest, long have I wondered what you thoughtthe night you led him to the cross.

THE FOLLOWERS

There have been others who have gone before,Led on by Love, by Life, by Mind, by Truth,Who beheld the star that stood above the manger,The church built on the rock, the servant's ear,The palms, pierced by the nails, held out to bless; The benediction of the resurrection;Bethlehem, Gethsemane, and Olivet.

LOVE'S MOMENT

Ours to understand.

FORGIVENESS

"Lovest thou me?
