THE CHRISTIANITY OF THE MASTER

Some writers who pose as critics of Christian Science have sought to differentiate between Christianity and Christian Science, but in doing this they have utterly ignored the best dictionary definitions of Christianity and at the same time have shown their ignorance of Christian Science.
Christian Scientists will read with much pleasure the most excellent article, "Mrs.

The wise man sets forth with many strong reasons the necessity for spiritual understanding, and tells of the rewards to be gained by its possession, among which are named health, long life, peace, prosperity, safety.
The omission of the personal preacher from the Sabbath service in Christian Science churches may seem a surprising innovation to some, but when one recalls the nature of the ministry to which Christ Jesus appointed his disciples, when he comes to understand the purposes actuating Mrs.

"OUR SUFFICIENT GUIDE."

The first religious tenet of Christian Science, on page 497 of Science and Health, reads: "As adherents of Truth, we take the inspired Word of the Bible as our sufficient guide to eternal Life.

When one considers the universality of the Christmas celebration, that the old and young of all the nations and peoples denominated Christian have on the average devoted many hours, if not days, of active thought to the joyous anticipation and unselfish doing which it prompts, he can but realize the possible mental significance of the event.
