Praise and Thanksgiving

Writing under the marginal heading "Deity unchangeable," on page 2 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy says, "God is not moved by the breath of praise to do more than He has already done, nor can the infinite do less than bestow all good, since He is unchanging wisdom and Love.

Gratitude

Christian Scientists have a great deal for which to be thankful; and as a rule they are not backward in expressing their gratitude.

Generally speaking, men have wrestled ineffectually with discordant effects, mental, moral, and physical, for the reason that they have not been able to discover and eradicate their so-called causes.

On page 233 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, says, "The counter fact relative to any disease is required to cure it.

"Science and peace"

Referring to the world as "the arena for conflicting forces," Mary Baker Eddy states that "on one side there will be discord and dismay; on the other side there will be Science and peace".

Casting Out Evils

In the time of Jesus, belief in the existence of demons or devils, which were thought to control their victims and to cause sickness, insanity, and so forth, was quite common, judging by the Gospel record.
The Founder of Christianity, Christ Jesus, healed the sick and the sinning entirely through spiritual means.
Nowhere is the spirit of truth and love more indispensable than in our branch churches, for as true brotherhood is demonstrated in the Christian Science organization the spirit of unity, the unity of Spirit, will awaken and unify the nations of the world.
