In the Manual of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, was divinely led to specify twenty years as the age limit for pupils in the Christian Science Sunday School.

By establishing man's identity as the idea of God, Christian Science obliterates the scars of a so-called past.
Instinctive in the human heart is an innate feeling that health is an inherent quality of life, the legitimate and normal state of man's being, as witness mankind's effort to gain and retain health, together with the endless research carried on in this endeavor and the noble and self-sacrificing lives of those who would truly be humanity's helpers.
By the time these words appear in print, many newly elected First and Second Readers will have begun their sacred periods of service in Christian Science churches; and it is to be hoped that their fellow members are doing their part in making the readership experience a happy, fruitful one.
Mortals in general are unwilling to do what is for their own good.
