To pray ... and mean it!

We may be too familiar with the word prayer—and not familiar enough with the actual act of praying. It can be quite a discovery!
We all long to communicate more clearly with others the truths we hold so dear. When we see we all have a common heritage of good, we'll find it easier.

Divine justice

Justice isn't something that is simply dispensed skillfully or unskillfully by humans. Ultimately, we find true justice is a vital, never-broken link between us and God.
True health doesn't depend so much on meticulous efforts to regulate calories as on the Christly qualities we exercise each day.
When you've seen something of God's power and goodness, you naturally feel good about yourself as His child. Don't let the world hurry you past this important discovery.

Unmixing the mix

The Bible speaks of God's making "all things new." If we're really beginning to experience this new life, wouldn't this also include taking a new look at the world around us and the people who live in it?

Gray and green

Earth's atmosphere needs help. And the greatest help we can give is really our contribution to the "atmosphere of thought."
If we're looking for purpose in life, perhaps there's a better place to start than with the world's ways and means.
God's covenant relationship with His people cannot be broken. It is fulfilled in our life through following Christ Jesus.

There is a persuasion that brings uneasy concession. But there is another that reaches deep and is confirmed by everything that we know is true and trustworthy.

Rules + work + discipline = freedom

Work and discipline have accomplished great things. They're indispensable if you're expecting to "work out" your salvation.
