The
beginner in Christian Science is sometimes at a loss to know how he may reconcile his former views with the ideals presented in its text-book, but he soon learns, and the sooner the better, that in so far as his concepts of being are erroneous, to that extent they are irreconcilable with the truth.
We
are again prompted to enter a plea for a larger and more liberal thought regarding the lectures, and to urge that the most ample provision be made for the accommodation of the vast and ever-increasing number who wish to hear these authoritative expositions of Christian Science.

As
we study the Bible in the light of Christian Science, we are impressed with the fact that the healing of the sick by spiritual means has always accompanied the higher understanding of God, and that while the old prophets may not have understood the law by which this work was done, they yet reflected sufficient light to dispel the darkness of sin and suffering to some extent.
Added
interest attaches to the religious situation to-day, in view of the fact that those who hold tenaciously to the reality of evil are being impelled by the logic of their position to either abandon their premises or else accept the inevitable conclusions they involve.
The
question is sometimes asked by those who are looking into Christian Science, If this truth is contained in the Bible, why is Science and Health needed?
Christian
people are much given to the free expression of their religious beliefs, and so far as these statements are demonstrated to be true, or so far as they express the logical sequence of an unquestioned truth, even if not thus demonstrated, they have an ethical and educational value.
