BEARING FALSE WITNESS

Before he closed the writing of the law of God upon the tables of stone, Moses, reminded of the mutual obligation of honesty which rests alike upon all men, and of the care with which one individual should in righteousness handle the character of his fellows if led to speak of them, wrote, "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
No matter what may be our work or our position, we each need the other's help and encouragement and good will at all times.

In a recent issue an evangelist holding services in your city is reported to have said that Christian Science is a heresy which keeps men from coming to Christ.
It is often through many bitter experiences that mortals finally learn the meaning of the Scriptural statement: "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you"—that in proportion to their trust in God is their course divinely and prosperously directed.
In reply to "Veritas," I should like to state that I have been a student of Christian Science for fifteen years, and have proved the truth of its teachings in innumerable instances.
Your readers were asked in Thursday's issue to consider an attempt on the part of a clergyman to prove the teaching of the Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
At a local church Sunday evening [March 10] the subject of the sermon was "Healing.
When Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science and author of the Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," passed away, it was predicted by a few that the Christian Science church, which had reached its greatest influence, would by reason of her absence decline as rapidly as it had risen; yet with her passing appeared in the press throughout the entire world such genuine tributes of praise of her life and work, in special articles and in editorials, that the very reverse of this prediction was found to be the fact.
The human mind is trained to limitation.

THE TRUE MOTIVE FOR STUDY

The majority of those who investigate the teachings of Christian Science are persons who are pressed to obtain relief from some condition, physical or otherwise, which is troublesome even if not a serious menace to their well-being and happiness.

RIGHT JUDGMENT

Every alert Christian Scientist has a profound appreciation of the Master's words as found in the seventh chapter of John: "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
