In the Christian Science Bible Lesson

In a recent issue there appeared an article entitled "American Loyalty to Judaism," in which it is said, "We sincerely believe that ninety per cent of the so-called Jewish Christian Scientists do not know that Christian Science and Christianity are one and the same, and that by going over to Christian Science they, strictly speaking, abandon the faith of Israel, the faith in the one eternal God who, as declared by the prophet Isaiah, is Israel's only 'Saviour.
Appreciating the kindly reference to Christian Science in a recent issue of Table Talk, and in no sense depreciating the work and efforts of those who are seeking in metaphysics surcease for themselves and others from the abounding ills arising from the belief of life, power, and intelligence in matter, but who have not arrived at the full acceptance of the divine Mind as the only real power, may the writer crave space in your columns for brief discrimination between the healing of Christian Science and "mental suggestion"?
There is no religion on earth that is governed less by "belief" than is Christian Science.
To a Christian Scientist doctors are a body of people engaged in the attempt to mitigate human suffering to the very utmost of their ability, and I will undertake to say that it is impossible to produce a case in which a Christian Scientist has rushed into print to attack the medical profession.

SPIRITUAL-MINDEDNESS

The very fact that one's nature rebels instinctively at anything which calls for excessive effort, indicates that such effort is abnormal.

HIGHER MEANINGS OF LIFE

As the patriarchs and prophets of old extricated the idea of God from a false material concept, so in this day Christian Science guards it from the abstractions of philosophy and material conceptions of Deity which are little better than the idols of an earlier day.

REGARDING THE MONITOR

Quite recently the writer of this article spent a week in a small city of western New York, and as the friends whom she was visiting were not Christian Scientists, she ordered The Christian Science Monitor sent to the house for one week, from a local news-dealer, paying him ten cents for the paper for that length of time.

"FEAR NOT"

One evening when I was visiting a friend, the conversation turned upon a present which the lady of the house had received from her son.

WHAT IS MAN?

From time immemorial mortals have sought light on the problem of existence by delving into material phenomena; but the learning thus acquired has only deepened the mystery of being.

"OUR FATHER"

A helpful and impressive feature of Christian Science church worship is the repetition of the Lord's Prayer by the congregation in unison.
