In the Christian Science Bible Lesson

Persistence

WHAT a wonderful thing Christian Science is to the person who, befogged in sin, worried over financial difficulties, disappointed in the failure to find joy and peace in some human relationship, or clogged by the pain and weariness of some belief of physical ill, hears the joyous message of divine Love and the good which it brings to all the world, in the inspired words of Mary Baker Eddy: "The notion that both evil and good are real is a delusion of material sense, which Science annihilates.

True Prayer

WHEN Paul wrote, in his first letter to the Thessalonians, "Pray without ceasing," and prefaced this admonition with the words, "Rejoice evermore," following it with, "In every thing give thanks," one can readily see that the writer of this epistle recognized joy and gratitude as essential to true prayer, and these two qualities are so linked together as to make it difficult to find where the one ends, and the other begins, in attempting to differentiate.

Signs of the Times

[Forbes]
If the clergyman, whose attack on Christian Science is reported in a recent issue, intended to show his lack of knowledge regarding the subject, he could hardly have taken a more effective method.
The Staff of a recent date reports a "popular evangelist" as denouncing Christian Science in language forceful, if not elegant.
The minister writing in a recent issue states that "in last Sunday evening's address we proved that the God of Christian Science is not the God of the Christian church.
"Idolatry," writes Mrs.
The following verse from one of the many beautiful hymns in the Christian Science Hymnal.
A common remark, even among professing Christians, when some very desirable possibility is contemplated, is this: "Oh, I'm afraid that is too good to be true.

Government

In what regard does government by Christian Science differ from the human sense of government?

Prayer

We are told in the ninth chapter of Luke that Jesus took with him Peter, John, and James and went up into a mountain to pray.
To students of Christian Science, God's presence is becoming the truest, most real fact in life, bringing joy and peace, eliminating fear, sickness, and sin.
