In the Christian Science Bible Lesson

The Christian Science Journal
We’re pleased to share this new setting of Mary Baker Eddy’s poem “Christmas Morn,” as we continue our preview of some of the hymns that will be included in the next Christian Science Hymnal Supplement.

Dominion over evil

I had found the comfort and guidance I needed.

Pause and pray

A few months ago I hurt my toe.
“Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day”.

Undistracted prayer

I’d been bouncing back and forth like a pinball between prayer and baseball scores, messages, videos, and whatever else competed for my attention.

Neighborhood watch

We can address the specific challenges facing our neighborhoods, acknowledging divine Love’s active, protective presence.
In their very nature, mortal man and all evil exist only in belief.

Praying for the world

Praying for the world effectively begins with seeing God’s creation, which is perfect, harmonious, and eternally complete.

Trusting God’s divine order

Trusting in God’s timing, rather than our own, brings peace and perfect unfoldment for everyone involved.
I trusted in God and kept going, knowing I was glorifying God through the joy
in my dive.
