Service

As in regard to other things, so-called mortal mind has many and varied concepts of what constitutes service.

Compassion

As the life and character of Jesus, recorded in the New Testament, are studied, and our hearts respond with deep love and appreciation of him and his work, the desire to emulate his qualities of character is simultaneously borne in upon our thought.

Contemplation of Good

"O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation"! What a happy outlook on life had the Psalmist when he sang this song of praise to God! His thoughts were turned away from materiality to the contemplation of spiritual things; and always when he turned his thoughts to the greatness and goodness of God, there arose expressions of hope, joy, and praise.
