"What is truth?"

IN the Bible record of the trial of Jesus, his reply to the question of Pontius Pilate, the Roman procurator, "To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth," apparently stirred only skepticism in the heart of his hearer.

"Am I my brother's keeper?"

ACCORDING to the Biblical narrative, Cain, who had slain his brother Abel, because of envy, jealousy, and hatred, when questioned, replied with another question, "Am I my brother's keeper?

"Behold, he prayeth"

In proportion as thought is lifted in prayer above the precincts of material sense, God's laws are recognized, right and necessary spiritual elements are released in one's experience, and the eternal currents of true being flow into the human consciousness to refresh and strengthen.
