During the pandemic a few years ago, I experienced severe symptoms of Covid. I had the loving support of my church family and a Christian Science nurse as well as treatment from a Christian Science practitioner, and all my needs were met.

I prayed earnestly, affirming the spiritual fact that because our Father-Mother God is the creator of all that exists, and Her creation is totally good, pain and disease have no source and therefore no reality for me or anyone. The only thing that someone can share or pass on to others is good. Evil is not contagious. 

One night when the symptoms were particularly frightening, I recalled that Mary Baker Eddy was once called to the home of a little boy who had just died. She asked to be left alone with the child, and as she prayed, he was roused to life. In an angry fit, the boy insisted over and over that he was sick. But within an hour, he was fully healed (see Yvonne Caché von Fettweis and Robert Townsend Warneck, Mary Baker Eddy: Christian Healer, Amplified Edition, p. 424).
