Moving freely again
Originally published in German
I have had such wonderful healings and experiences through Christian Science, including in situations where material medicine offered no solution.
Many years ago, when I was still active in an orchestra, I had pain in my back, which I felt was caused by the bad chairs. Although I was a student of Christian Science, on this occasion I went to an orthopedist, whose injections and massages didn’t help, and who referred me to the nearby hospital, where my spinal canal was cleaned and flushed. Initially, I felt much better, and the pain became bearable. Then the surgeon told me that he had a friend who was a specialist at the university clinic, where they would be able to help me more.
The doctor there performed seven operations on me over the course of two years, but they didn’t do any good. For stability, small titanium plates were implanted. Before releasing me, the doctor who was treating me said that they could do nothing more for me and that I would not be able to run, stand, or walk anymore without pain. I would have to spend most of my days lying down.
