Defective eyesight healed
In 2018 I gave birth to a bouncing baby boy. He was a normal, healthy child, and so active. But as he grew older, whenever I would take pictures of him, I noticed that he was squinting. This didn’t worry me because I knew I could see our son in the light of what the Bible says of our relation to God: “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made” (John 1:3). So, in truth, my son is a child of God, created in God’s image and likeness, and all that God created is perfect. I continued thinking of him in this way.
A little later, because of my husband’s concerns, we took the boy to an optometrist’s office, where we were told that one of his eyes was not functioning well. He couldn’t read or see clearly anything that was more than a few meters away. Measurements were taken for eyeglasses, which we picked up a few days later. We were told that we should bring our son back in six months.
Having studied and practiced Christian Science for some time, I have witnessed many healings through prayer. I continued praying for our son with the understanding that the eye dysfunction was not real because God’s sight is never dim, and our son is God’s creation, so his sight could not be dim either.
