Unanswered prayer?
I find myself being truly grateful for the “unanswered” prayer that lifted me up to a higher understanding of God and His image.
Have you ever been praying consistently about something yet feel that you’ve gotten no answer? The issue could be anything—an inharmonious relationship, a need for housing, a workplace situation, a physical problem—that doesn’t seem to be yielding.
Perhaps there is a need to look at how we are praying. “Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss” (James 4:3).
Are we honestly listening for God’s answer or simply looking for the answer we want? Are we willing to heed an answer even when it isn’t what we wanted?
