To vote

I ask in prayer how I should vote—
which candidate is best?
The answer puzzles me at first—
the question not addressed:

Acknowledge God, His reign of love,
as adequate^{See Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 412.}indeed!
It breaks the spell of dissonance
and peace is guaranteed.

My prayer must go much higher than
the ballot, now I see.
To cast my vote, I cast my care
on God, expectantly.
