What’s behind antagonism toward Spirit?
Spirit’s world is actually the only world.
Over the last century, quantum physicists have argued about the nature of matter and even the reality of matter. There is certainly a lot of contentiousness connected with this debate.
I vividly recall a time when I broke a bone, and my father, who had recently begun exploring Christian Science, decided to pray for me. Later that day, as my father prayed, an overwhelming feeling of love came over me. It was so much bigger than all of the love my dad or any parent could ever generate. It was the stunning, brilliant affection of God.
I decided to accept and embrace what I was feeling, even though it was new to me. At that moment, I was healed and suddenly could move freely and normally. As a result of this experience, I began to wonder if matter was really what I had always thought it was. One moment, I felt the pain of a broken body. The next moment, I was healed and felt only the love of God.
