Depth and healing
Dear Reader,
I don’t know, dear reader, exactly what you are looking for as you read this magazine. I do know, though, what I hope you will find—inspiring ideas that lead to answers you’ve been looking for, and a solid conviction of God’s healing power.
I think of Simon, a fisherman, and two of his partners, James and John. They were discouraged because they had fished all night and caught nothing, and now they were on the shore cleaning their nets. When Christ Jesus saw them, he asked Simon to take him offshore a bit in his ship so he could preach from it to a crowd thirsting for healing. After he was done preaching, he told Simon, “Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.” He did, and so many fish were caught that he had to call James and John to bring their boat to help haul them in (see Luke 5:1–11).
