Magnificent reminder

[Brian Stock, “Finding security in the divine economy,” Sentinel, May 18, 2020]

Thanks for this magnificent reminder that our present economic circumstances are really under God’s, divine Love’s, absolute control, regardless of material appearances, theories, and observations.

So grateful

I am so grateful for Traci Fenton’s article (“The crowning idea that conquers fear and heals,” Sentinel, May 11, 2020). I have really embraced her idea of being 100 percent convinced that nothing can “steal my birthright of perfection,” nor can I be required to bow to matter, but rather “would bow only to God.”

A beautiful gift

Today I reread the poem “Naaman and the child” (Nancy Humphrey Case, Sentinel, March 2, 2020). Engaging with a beloved Old Testament story, as though for the first time, felt like I was receiving a beautiful gift! The warm affection of Naaman’s servants made me think that there was something childlike about Naaman that prepared him for this great cleansing and grace. Something that his “humble servants” recognized and lovingly appealed to. Thanks to the poet for seeing and sharing this!
