Church: A force for good (part two)
As individuals, we are each a force for good as we grow spiritually and bring to bear on all that we do a sense of the healing Christ. Christ is the true, spiritual idea Jesus showed us of God as everyone’s loving Father-Mother. Here, twenty- and thirty-somethings share why they feel church amplifies their ability to experience and express good in their lives.
Although it can be tempting to believe that going to church is something separate from our individual spiritual growth, I’ve found that church anchors me in a positive outlook on life that enables me to keep going with my busy schedule. Church is also the place where I find unity with the larger community. Being there and serving through different church offices, I have been able to find unity among the sons and daughters of God in a world that seems so plagued with divisive views and polarized politics. While there, I pray for my family, friends, neighbors, city, state, and country. I feel that going to church is the most relevant contribution I can make to every community I am in.
