Healed after a fall
I would like to express my gratitude for a healing after a fall, through Christian Science treatment. I live with my daughter, her husband, and my grandchildren. One day when I was at home, I fell to the floor with great force, hitting my left knee and elbow. I couldn’t help crying out. My son-in-law came in and helped me into a chair.
At first, fearful thoughts flooded in—that I would become an invalid. Pain in my right leg was quite severe. I wanted to rely on God through prayer in Christian Science, as I’ve done through the years. When we were children, my brother and I were quickly healed of chicken pox through Christian Science treatment. There were a number of cases in the school, and the school nurse was amazed that we returned to class so soon—completely healed.
Since that time, I have sincerely studied Christian Science. I knew that the pain could be eliminated by applying the truths contained in the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. This book explains Mrs. Eddy’s discovery of the laws of God and of His goodness and of man’s relationship to God—that God made man spiritual, perfect, and harmonious. God’s creation, including man, does not include accidents.
