Our true identity
In my life I have encountered some challenging situations that really helped me to better understand my real identity. My biblical studies and study of the writings of Mary Baker Eddy have revealed that man’s real identity, his whole being, is spiritual. Being true to our spiritual identity can help us in overcoming life’s challenges whenever they arise.
As God is the only creator, as the Bible teaches, we are each an original creation that cannot be altered or harmed in any way. God knows us as His own children, made in His spiritual likeness. So it is natural for us to express qualities such as love, care, trust, goodness, compassion, and many more. And because we are God’s spiritual ideas, health, wholeness, and harmony define us. Matter cannot provide a permanent cure or remedy for disease; we learn from the Scriptures that we are wholly capable of healing any kind of distortion by destroying limiting, mortal belief through the power of divine Truth.
Understanding our true identity helps us deal with challenges.
