Sunday School class and healing

I’m 19 and studying to become a cabinet and furniture maker and am taking a lot of wood shop classes. I really enjoy this activity, and some days I’m at the shop for eight to ten hours at a time. Because of my enthusiasm for wood shop, my instructor offered me an opportunity to do additional work with him on some of his commercial projects and to learn even more about woodworking.

One Sunday evening, I was working with him on one of those commercial projects. We were working on a set of ten “bug boxes” that are designed to raise crickets, lady bugs, etc., for sale in local stores. We had been working on the boxes for a while, and it was my first time using a nail gun. About ten p.m., I was still working and was starting to get a little tired. I accidentally shot my hand with a two-and-a-half-inch nail.

When my teacher saw what had happened, the nail sticking out of my hand and my hand shaking from the shock, he was concerned. After I removed the nail, he gave me some things to clean the wound with and put a bandage on it. Shortly after that, he took me home.
