Our goat–healed of blindness
On our small farm we have a couple dozen San Clemente Island goats. My daughter, Jessica, milks four of them each morning and evening. One night while I was making dinner, Jessica told me after the evening milking that one of the goats, Dolce, had been blinded recently. It was horrible to hear. I put on our farm calendar for July 21, 2011, “Dolce blinded recently” because Jessica said her eye had turned white. Pitty Pat, one of our other goats, had been acting assertive and had been fighting with Dolce. This was the likely cause.
Dolce and Jessica
In the morning when I was praying with the Bible Lesson on the subject “Truth,” I thought of the passage “executeth judgment” (Psalms 146:7). It occurred to me that this meant distinguishing absolute truth, spiritual reality, rather than judging people as a judge might do. I recalled a time when our baby goat, Moses, regained his sight when we prayed with a practitioner about an injury immediately after his birth. I had considered the practitioner responsible for this powerful healing, but as I thought about it, I realized that it proved that blindness could be healed.
