CURING THE INCURABLE

Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. A fellow school-faculty friend of mine approached me one day in utter sympathy when she saw me wrestling painfully to get out of my car in the parking lot. She knew me best for my lively involvement with students in the classroom, the gym, and the playground. So, to see me suddenly restricted in the movement of my legs and arms really surprised her—and gave me plenty to question myself about.
