CLEAR VIEWS OF DIVINE LOVE'S CONTROL

Very early one morning, while I was still in bed, I felt a sharp pain in my side. I got up to think more clearly and to assess the situation. Then I realized the soreness was only part of the problem. At times my breathing was labored, and walking was difficult. Over the next several days, I slept fitfully in a chair, as I could not lie down.

It was no time to be "out of whack" physically! I was deeply focused on making major decisions in my job, for a potential building project on a new home in another state, for various financial transactions, as well as for an upcoming all-day presentation.

Although I wanted to be healed of the uncomfortable symptoms right away, I knew from experience that I needed to examine my thoughts in prayer rather than analyze my bodily condition. As I set out to do this, I also asked a Christian Science practitioner to pray with me for healing.
