GOD'S MOTHER-LOVE HEALS BABY

It was bedtime. My baby was crying and vomiting, and none of my efforts to calm him worked. I could feel fear swelling up inside me. "No," I said to myself. "Fear is not the mental state in which to calm a baby." But how could I get myself to that place of feeling the comfort I wanted to give to him?

As a student of Christian Science, I'd learned from previous experience that I could trust God's power and goodness, not just for comfort, but for healing. So, like a leaf turning to the sun, I naturally turned to God, whom I knew to be goodness itself, and the only power of creation—the true source of my baby's life and being.
