GOD'S VERDICT IS HEALTH

About a year ago, my employer required me to have a medical checkup. A doctor examined me, and the overall exam turned out to be fine. However, the doctor ordered me to have a mammogram.

I complied, not thinking much of the whole thing. The nurse who examined me said she needed to do the procedure a second time. Now I was beginning to get worried. I had been experiencing some pain in my left arm on and off for some time, but had never paid too much attention. I was told there was a lump in my breast, and it was not a small one.

An ultrasound was ordered immediately. By this time I had started to pray. I have been a student of Christian Science since I was a teenager, and during these many years, I had witnessed a lot of healing. Now, at first, I felt afraid. I started to recite the scientific statement of being from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy (see p. 468). Soon, my fear started to melt away. I continued praying and affirming my identity as God's spiritual child who could have no growth unknown to Him.
