'Walk in the Spirit'
Originally published in O Arauto da Christian Science
One of the many healings I've had through trusting God to solve all types of problems happened after I started feeling a slight pain in my left knee. I hadn't been paying too much attention to it. Then one day, as I was walking up the stairs in my home carrying heavy bags, I suddenly felt intense pain in that knee. I had to stop because I couldn't even move the leg, the pain was so great.
I just stood there, searching for a spiritual truth I could focus on. A Bible verse came clearly to me, "If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit" (Gal. 5:25). I had been trying to gain a better understanding that we all live in Spirit—that is, in God. Since I had already accepted that truth, the second part of the verse sounded like an order for me also to walk in the Spirit.
At that point, the pain disappeared instantly, and I continued up the stairs, without any further discomfort. I have never again had any problems with my knees.
