A powerful stand for her life

For a few weeks I had been unable to eat much of anything. My color was unnatural, and I had internal pain. Often I had to fight just to stay conscious. I had successfully relied on God for healing many times in the past, and it was natural for me to turn to Him this time. The Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy were my physician and constant guide during this experience. I spent most of my time sitting on my bed reading and studying these books, striving to understand the healing works of Jesus.

I didn't know the name of the illness I was struggling against, but I was not giving a lot of attention to the symptoms. I put my prayer for others on hold during this time, and our four children were mostly cared for by my husband, a wonderful man who also relies on prayer and understands my desire to do the same.
