A psalm for you

If you climbed to the top of a snow-covered mountain
and hid in the feathers of a golden eagle,
Love would be there
because God is everywhere.

If you walked in the deep green of a tropical rainforest
and rode down a river on the back of a crocodile,
Love would be watching you
because God is always with you.

If you went to the bottom of a blue-green ocean
and tickled the tentacles of a rubbery octopus,
Love would even be there
because God is everywhere.

If you climbed a rainbow to the top of the red
and slid down the orange to the bottom of violet,
God would catch you in His arms
because you are so dear to Him.

If you were afraid or sick or sad,
if you felt lost in the darkness of a stormy night,
God would lighten the darkness
with His pure light.

God would remind you that you are His child,
always safe and well in His own care.
Wherever you are, God's love is there
because God is everywhere.
