YOUR LETTERS
"I know from experience that no matter how long you've carried an anguishing weight, when you discard it, it's gone for good."
From the Editors: Thanks to everyone who answered Mr. White's letter asking how the innocent are to respond (see November 16 Sentinel). These last two letters indicate how this question touched readers:
For over forty years, I could not forgive someone who I felt had caused me years of anguish.
The ultimate example of forgiveness is Jesus on the cross. He did not look down at the people and say, "I forgive you." He lifted his thought to his Father and asked Him to forgive them. Did our Father forgive? The resurrection and ascension took place; Christianity spread worldwide; Mary Baker Eddy discovered and founded Christian Science. These, I believe, are proofs of God's love and forgiveness.
