Bad temper healed
At one time I had hired a young woman to help me for a few hours a day. She was very efficient in every way, but she had a very bad temper.
One morning she was extremely rude to me when I was busy giving my son his morning bottle. This wonderful statement from Science and Health came to thought immediately: "Soul and Spirit being one, God and Soul are one, and this one never included in a limited mind or a limited body" (p. 335). I became so entranced with the beauty of the thought of God and Soul being one that I forgot everything around me.
It occurred to me that there was no separate material soul belonging to each of us, one that we were responsible for or that governed our attitude and behavior. Rather, "God and Soul are one." God, the only creator, governs His creation harmoniously. Therefore, I realized, any evidence of discord must be a lie or illusion, having no basis in the one divine reality.
