Mountain high
Delightfully startled, I stepped
Around a jagged boulder,
Confronting a crimson wildflower
Freely sharing its God-given beauty.
Never knowing or caring whether
It would be seen or praised by mortal eyes,
It expressed its bright color, beauty, harmony;
No self-consciousness here.
Resplendent in simplicity,
It simply gave,
And all who had the sense
To perceive Deity's hand and joy,
Shared in its real glory,
Thanking God.
