The sermon and perfection's call
Let me see from that mount too,
And in whatever task I do,
Always let me keep in mind
These instructions for mankind:
To live a humble, gentle life,
To rejoice when faced with hardship, strife,
To guard my thoughts with purity,
To hear perfection's call to me;
To pray in secret, do good deeds,
To trust that God will meet my needs,
To be forgiving, kind, devout—
To live Christ's Sermon on the Mount.*
