One day I was running home from school with a friend and I wasn't looking where I was going. I was wearing sandals. Halfway home I tripped and fell on my chin. When I got up it was bleeding hard. I just stood there with my eyes closed and prayed. I prayed, "God is like a bird with outspread wings. He made us perfect and without cuts, bruises, and sprains." I began to worry about the future. "Would I be able to eat?" Or, "How about talking?" "You're silly," I told myself, "I don't have to worry, there never was a bad accident or even an accident. I'm perfectly fine. Error can't trick me into believing I'm hurt. God doesn't see His children with a cut chin, so I can't be hurt." My chin felt better and I got up and walked home with my friend. I am glad I learned how to pray in the Christian Science Sunday School I go to. My chin stopped bleeding and healed fast.
