We sometimes learn more about God's love and care for us...
We sometimes learn more about God's love and care for us when we are going through heartache or pain than when everything is going fine and our way. I would like to share an experience that I had a few years ago proving this point.
I had planted tomatoes and was in the basement looking about for some fertilizer. I slipped and fell, hitting my back and head on a concrete wall. The noise attracted my husband's attention, and he came to help. I could not move or stand up; but bent over, and with his help, I managed to get into the house and then into bed.
I was working at the time, and kept wondering what I would do. I had plenty of sick leave, but wondered about being laid up for months. What if I'd broken my back? What if this, and what if that?
