In spite of the fact that I have been studying Christian Science...
In spite of the fact that I have been studying Christian Science for many years and have had many healings, it never occurred to me that I could write a testimony. But when I read in The Herald of Christian Science about how one can contribute in order to help others, I was inspired to do it.
I attended a Christian Science church service for the first time on a Wednesday, when a friend invited me. I believed in God at the time but didn't have any religion. I began to read the Bible and Science and Health and became interested in delving deeper into this teaching.
After attending church regularly for three months, I was greatly moved when I heard one particular testimony of a man who had been healed of leprosy. At that moment I felt that I also could be healed—for a year I had been using an orthopedic brace, since I suffered from deforming lumbago of the spinal column. The doctor who was treating me had told me that I must use this brace all my life. I decided I must stop using it and rely only on prayer.
