God and our business
God's laws help us prove that our businesses are not at the mercy of economic forces beyond our control.
Recent news reports about the economy reminded me of the sharp drop in export business I faced almost a decade ago. The United States dollar had risen to a historical peak, and the economies of the markets I exported to had gone into recession.
An understanding of God's divine laws of good pulled me through that experience with excellent results. Which brings us to the theme of this article: How can we apply spiritual truths to our business problems without ending up trying to manipulate prayer for merely materialistic ends?
The first step is to broaden our concept of business from being only the exchange of goods and services to that of serving God and our fellowman. As we gain spiritual understanding and are honest and fair in our business dealings, we have a healing influence.
