The Adventure of Spiritual Healing

One of the special characteristics of metaphysical as contrasted with strictly physical healing is that it leagues one with all the world. The healing is austerely private, but its repercussions are universal, and the healed person knows it. What has occurred to him lessens by one mustard seed the tempter's propaganda that everyone is subject to disease, and why should any person escape? Since nobody lives in a vacuum, any one healing adds to the atmosphere of spiritual influence on others.

I heard a man tell a roomful of clergymen that when he discovered his capacity to be healed, he had to restrain himself from grabbing strangers on the street and yelling, "Look here, it's true! It's for everyone! You're free!" On the morning after a spiritual healing, nobody has to tell you to love your neighbor; it's an irresistible compulsion.
