I wish to acknowledge joyously and humbly the divine Principle...
I wish to acknowledge joyously and humbly the divine Principle that has healed me on many occasions. Bodily ills, mental stress, human relation difficulties, a quick temper, business troubles—all have been healed by the one God "who healeth all thy diseases" (Ps. 103:3).
A particular victory stands out because it taught me that the testimony of the material senses cannot be trusted in any circumstance. Several years ago I began having difficulty walking long distances and climbing stairs. Soon walking even short distances became a problem. The loss of breath, great fatigue, and weakness seemed overwhelming.
Since I do a lot of walking in my job and love to hike, this situation made me unhappy as well as uncomfortable. At first I tried to compensate by walking less or more slowly and avoiding stairs. But the situation grew worse. This awakened me to the fact that I was relying in a degree on material solutions.
