God's law of perpetual renewal
Renewal. We find a symbol of it in a bright spring morning in the country when the world seems alive with birds and bursting with blossoms. Fueled by warm sunshine, the whole earth exhibits gathering energies. But even the most exhilarating of earthly scenes can only hint at the spiritual energies and abundant goodness pouring forth continually from the unfathomable Love that is God.
Christian Science removes the limits from our concept of God and His creation. It kindles our perceptions of the ever-renewing energies of Spirit, the inexhaustible resources of Life, always available to us. In Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures Mary Baker Eddy writes: "Infinite Mind creates and governs all, from the mental molecule to infinity. This divine Principle of all expresses Science and art throughout His creation, and the immortality of man and the universe. Creation is ever appearing, and must ever continue to appear from the nature of its inexhaustible source." Science and Health, p. 507.
We learn through divine Science that the spiritual universe and man are, right now, the only reality—the actuality of being. Our true identity is not flesh but the reflection of Spirit, Mind, God. Science thus clarifies and uplifts our vision; but this does not leave us with an abstract concept. Science makes clear how the sublime realities of God's creation apply to human experience.
