The woman and the book
MARGARET TSUDA
The woman spent her childhoodin a lovely corner of the universewhere the spring-flowering arbutuspushing up throughthe dead leaves of winterscents the air around.
As she matured,the early expectationsof her earth-existence werebrought to naught among woes ofbereavement/near-poverty/ill health.Then, what seemed to bethe endproved to bea beginning!
