"Did you strap the bikes on the car, Tommy?" Mother shouted from inside the house.
"Yep, and the beach bags are in the trunk. Hurry up, Mom, so we can have a ride around the lake before lunch."
Tommy was in a hurry to get to Green Lake Park. He loved riding his bike along the shady paths, and he liked the smell of hot dogs cooking at the roadside stand where they ate their lunch. He was hoping the sun would warm the lake enough so they could swim in the afternoon and then go beachcombing.
