Awaking to infinite consciousness
Think for a minute of the earth: an awesome, sapphire globe, silently rolling through endless black corridors of space; an island of living things, wrapped in diaphanous vapors, warmed and lighted by a star.
There is a greater wonder.
As you read this a moment ago your consciousness encompassed the world, right where you were. In a sense, then, your individual consciousness must be greater than the whole world, more grand even than the universe! This hints at the great fact of Christian Science that perfect, ultimate reality is included in God, Mind, Spirit. "All consciousness is Mind; and Mind is God,—an infinite, and not a finite consciousness," writes Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science. She continues, "This consciousness is reflected in individual consciousness, or man, whose source is infinite Mind."Unity of Good, p. 24;
